Multiple Teams · Lady Cougars Can’t Overcome Halftime Deficit

Despite a strong third quarter offensive effort, the Union Girls’ basketball team was unable to overcome a seven point halftime deficit at Emery last night, falling 56-47. Lexi Anderson led the Cougars with 15 points but it wasn’t enough as the Cougars gave up double figure scoring in each of the first to quarters going into halftime trailing 24-17. The Cougars cut the lead to six at the end of the third quarter with a surge of 17 points to Emery’s 16.
